Black Currant Tulip

Few tulips command attention like this extraordinary double fringed variety from Dutch breeder Theo Ammerlaan. Its immense blooms reaching up to 8" across are smothered in layers of rich burgundy-purple petals, every one edged with delicate, crystal-like fringing. Strong, upright stems carry the blooms.
